Any item that serves a multifunctional purpose is an item I want in my house. Black? Check. Art? Check. Educatoinal? Check. Decor? Check.
Coffee table books, at least the ones I own, fit every one of those categories and I can’t get enough. Coffee table books bring color, art, and depth to any space. When I choose a Black authored coffee table book, I like to make sure that it adds a different element and can spark conversation when I have guests. A few of my favorite are listed below:
- Camo by Thandiwe Muriu
- Brown Bohemians by Vanessa Coore Vernon
- Harlem Renaissance: Art of Black America by Mary Schmidt Campbell
- The Mamba Mentality: How I Play by Kobe Bryant
- Black Food by Bryant Terry
I’ve linked a few more here. Let me know if you own any of the books I listed. What coffee table book(s) do you recommend?
xoxo,
Starr
